Terry Fox Run

Terry Fox was a Canadian athlete, humanitarian, and cancer research activist. In 1980, he embarked on a cross-Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research with one leg having been amputated. The annual Terry Fox Run was first held in 1981 and now is annually held in over 9000 communities across Canada and in numerous regions around the world with the sole goal of raising funds for cancer research.

It has been part of Riffa Views International Schools tradition to take part in this fundraiser for cancer. It took a little patience, but the wait was worth it. The Terry Fox Run saw hundreds of enthusiastic students, parents and teachers enjoying the run and celebrating school spirit on a beautiful day.

A thank you goes out to all the great volunteers and a special thank you goes to Mr. Patrick Durkin for organizing this memorable event. We are happy to announce that we have raised money that will go into cancer research.
